Installing Tight Lite

Use this installation guide after receiving your Tight Lite battery pack kit.

  • Read these installation instructions all the way through before starting.
  • Pay close attention––you may need to make adjustments depending on whether you are right- or left-handed.
  • The tape provided is made to hold the lighting device securely to the Tight Lite. You'll only get one shot to apply your lighting device correctly.

STEP ONE

Review your kit.

Your Tight Lite kit should contain four components:

  • The Tight Lite bracket
  • Stainless steel set screw
  • Small thumb screw
  • Small piece of 3M VHB double-sided tape

STEP TWO

Attach your Tight Lite to the battery pack.

  1. Tight Lite, the original battery pack mount, comes with two drilled holes on the back that are designed for several lights currently on the market. You will need to decide which way your light will face.
  2. Look closely at the back of your lighting device and determine if there is a screw that may need to be accessible in the future.
  3. Make sure the back of the Tight Lite is clean.
  4. Remove one side of the liner on the double-sided tape. Align the holes while keeping the tape square to the bracket. Press the tape firmly to secure.
  5. Make sure your lighting battery pack is cleaned properly and free of all debris including dirt and oils.
  6. Remove the liner from the tape and position your light as you want it. Press firmly (but not so firmly as to cause any damage to your lighting battery pack).

To continue, select your sight bar design type:
Full dovetail
Half dovetail

STEP THREE (FULL DOVETAIL PROFILE)

Install your Tight Lite to the sight bar.

  1. Remove your sight bar from the bow.
  2. Adjust the set screw or thumb screw so that the Tight Lite will slide freely onto the bar.
  3. Adjust the Tight Lite to a position in which you would like it to stay and slowly tighten down the set screw or thumb screw into a detent of the sight bar until secured. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. By doing so, you have a greater risk of marring your archery sight bar.
  4. At this point, your Tight Lite is installed, but will need a little reinforcement to be fully secured. Simply reattach your Velcro style strap for the next 24-72 hours (You can still shoot your bow as normal). After the 24-72 hours, remove your hook-and-loop fastener strap and enjoy the freedom of a strapless, secured, and minimal vibrating battery pack. 3M Tape has 50% bond strength 20 minutes after pressing, 90% after 24 hours and full adhesion after 72 hours.

Install your Tight Lite to the sight bar.

  1. Remove your sight bar from the bow.
  2. Adjust the set screw or thumb screw so that the Tight Lite will slide freely onto the bar with the set screw or thumb screw positioned on the flat surface of bar.
  3. Adjust the Tight Lite to a position in which you would like it to stay and slowly tighten down the set screw or thumb screw onto the sight bar until secured. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. By doing so, you have a greater risk of marring your archery sight bar.
  4. At this point, your Tight Lite is installed but will need a little reinforcement to bond and be fully secured. Simply reattach your Velcro style strap for the next 24-72 hours (You can still shoot your bow as usual). After the 24-72 hours, feel free to remove your hook-and-loop fastener strap and enjoy the freedom of a strapless, secured, and minimal vibrating battery pack. 3M Tape has 50% bond strength 20 minutes after pressing, 90% after 24 hours and full adhesion after 72 hours.
